Sketches, photographs and memory feed into a larger scale artwork in the studio, often using expressive strokes, colours and textures to evoke and interpret landscapes and scenes.
‘I don’t want images to be purely representational, I like to leave enough space for a viewer to get involved, interpret and feel connected.’
William worked as a commercial artist in London before moving to the South West twenty years ago. He has exhibited mainly in the South West, Bristol and London.
