Anything goes and I cannot predict precisely what might happen. I love texture in paintings but also strive to be patient and allow the colours to shine through.
Also though, in contrast, maybe when mood or inspiration changes, the precision of graphite, the softness of pastels, the speed of acrylic or fluidity of oil or watercolour will be my chosen medium
I have been lucky enough to have been born in Cornwall and grew up surrounded by the wild and beautiful land and seas here, and the landscape, animals, plants and especially trees all still provide my inspiration.
Whilst I have always needed to be creative, and became a child that drew all the time, art was an occasional hobby that family life and a career left little time for.
Since retiring i have attended many workshops and have been much more able to enjoy the challenge of capturing what I see or imagine in paint.
