Having been 'laboratory-bound' for many years, she took a leap of faith and began a new career as a professional artist. Carol had been involved in art, on an enthusiastic, hobby basis since early childhood. The new challenge gave rise to many successful years of painting detailed watercolours and celtic-inspired, illumination work.
Her passion for colour and innovative design, then led into stained glass work. Carol has now been working with glass for over ten years.
She combines traditional and contemporary techniques, to handcraft each piece of stained glass artwork and strives to achieve a unique style, allowing her work to stand out from the crowd.
Glass is such a versatile, distinctive and diverse medium, which inspires Carols' landscapes and coastal views influenced by the breath-taking Cornish scenery and rich coastal heritage. Also, three-dimensional and more abstract designs...... and some, just purely for the beauty, texture and colour of the glass!
Carol currently exhibits her work in various galleries within Cornwall.
