Ebenezer Gallery
home of the East Cornwall Society of Artists Ltd

The Ebenezer Gallery, Polperro exhibits work from members of the East Cornwall Society of Artists Ltd.
Set in the beautiful and historic fishing village of Polperro, on Cornwall's south coast between Looe and Fowey, the Ebenezer Gallery is unique in its origins and in its display of artwork.
The building originally opened as a Chapel in 1877. Founder members with great foresight managed to buy it in 1972 through donations and loans, and converted it into a gallery to display members' work.  Improvements have continued right up to the present day.

The Society, formed in 1946, now has over 90 members and many exhibit their work at the easter exhibition, and in the long Summer exhibition from May to October. Paintings in all media, acrylics, oils, pastels and watercolours are displayed alongside ceramics, woodturning, glass and sculpture on two floors of the spacious gallery. ECSA members are always on duty when the gallery is open and will be pleased to give you details of the artists whose work is displayed.

East Cornwall Society of Artists is looking for new members - if you are interested in joining ECSA please call into the Gallery and talk to one of the stewards or phone a member of the committee to find out more about the society.
