Wild Moor

I have had no formal training in art. When I finished work in 1998 I started to attend weekly adult education classes starting with "Drawing for complete beginners", and then progressing to Acrylic painting, Watercolour and Pastels. It can be frustrating and difficult and I hardly ever manage to achieve what is in my head, but it is utterly absorbing and a wonderful hobby and I have been painting and drawing every week since.
I am currently experimenting with acrylic inks and mixed media, which I am really enjoying. It enables me to have a much looser approach. The ink has an outstanding vibrancy of colour and there are endless colour combinations.
My favourite subjects are the wonderful Bodmin moor and the beautiful Cornish coastline, and living in Liskeard gives me easy access to all of the wonderful local scenery.
